GUEST,SINSULL, cookieless. Album Of The Year JP Folk Award to... (3) Album Of The Year JP Folk Award to... 01 Sep 09

Jed Marum's Civil War album, CROSS OVER THE RIVER has won the Album of the Year Award - and the song COME BACK KATY was selected the Number 6 Song of the Year in the 2009 JP Folk Awards program - both in the Traditional/Folk categories. Jed is thrilled and honored by these awards.

JP Folk describes itself as the "worlds largest grassroots music organization" and their awards program is by far the biggest in the world. For the 2009 awards they have judged over 42,000 albums and 560,000 songs - all from independent and record label artists around the world.

The album is nearly sold out in CD form, but you can download it from Itunes, Napster, Rhapsody, CDBaby and all of the major MP3 services. You can still find the CDs at CDBaby here:
cdbaby{dot}com/cd/jedmarum6 and possibly Ebay and Amazon.

Two tracks from this album were used in the film, BLOODY DAWN that played in theaters in 2008 and on PBS in 2009, and the album was nominated for the Southern Heritage Award. CROSS OVER THE RIVER is a collection of mostly original songs.

From Jed:
If you don't already have the album I hope you'll take a look at it here cdbaby{dot}com/cd/jedmarum6 and listen to the sample tracks. I also hope you'll pass on this note to any of your friends who you believe will have an interest.
