A few years back I asked for the chords to "Peter Emberley" (same tune as T&H) only to be told "it's the same as Van Dieman's Land, idiot", which it ain't by me, thanks anyway. Recently I came at the tune again via the "Durham County" coal strike song and found about about the following chords, which work great for me. The part I would never have figured out on my own is going to the V chord on the second beat of the first and fourth lines. I like to get comfy with the I chord for lots of bars let alone beats before risking a change. O come (C)a' ye (G7)tramps and hawker-(F)lads an' (C)gaither(F)ers o' (C)bla' That (C)tramp the country (F)roun' and (C)roun', come (F)listen (G7)one and (Am)a' I'll (C)tell tae ye a (F)rovin' (C)tale, an' (F)places (G7)I hae (Am)been Far (C)up in(G7)to the snowy (F)north, or (C)sooth by (F)Gretna (C)Green.
