GUEST, Teresa: If you don't already have a place saved (by camper, tarp, golf cart or some such) in Lineup, I'd venture to say it won't do you a heck of a lot of good to get here until Land Rush has begun on Saturday morning. The place is jammed full at this time (estimate 1,000 units); they've got campers parked damned near everywhere.

This is posted at the official Walnut Valley Festival site: "Due to limited parking space, festival staff are asking that if at all possible campers not arrive at the fairgrounds prior to the Saturday morning opening of the campgrounds."

That said, if you really need electric, use your own judgment. You didn't say which Grove you camp in--Pecan has considerably fewer hookups than Walnut, and you'll likely be unable to get electricity in the Pecan Grove regardless of which day you show up. Don't know about the Walnut--we don't camp there, so have no way of knowing.
