I'm sure they do good stuff, but here in the USA it's a bit more complicated . . . at least for now.

On the bright side, my heath insurance covered a good bit of the surgery (I think my Blue Cross card is proof that you can make your work freely available and still run a profitable business) and my students came up with some projects to help make up the rest.
