Avast ye! Next Saturday be International Talk Like a Pirate Day! It also be the monthly chantey sing in Portsmouth!

So I bin thinkin’ â€" why not share our piratical lifestyle (by which I mean maritime music) with the unsuspectin’ landlubbers o’ Portsmouth? Thar be many landlubbers out an’ about that day, for the Faerie House Tours, the Local Fish and Lobster Festival, and other occurrences. It could be great sport to surprise unsuspectin’ lubbers with a vigorous chantey or poignant forebitter and then move on to the next target.

If ye be interested, send me an e-mail. I be thinkin’ o’ a rendez-vous near Market Square around two bells[1], a couple hours o’ maraudin’, and then the usual chantey round at The Press Room.

[2] It’s bin pointed out to me that the scurvy Council o’ Portsmouth frowns on buskin’ these days. Since when to pirates follow the rules? But I intend to be mobile, and not to ask fer loot from our victims, so no fear.
