Bud Savoie Discussion/Chords: Leatherwing Bat (11) RE: Leatherwing Bat 06 Aug 00

The chorus to "Leatherwing Bat" is usually nonsensical and goes something like: "Ow dee dow and a diddle um day. Ow dee sow and a diddle up day. Ow dee dow and a diddle up day. And a hey lee lee and a lie lee lo." That is Pete Seeger's version.

"Same Old Man": "Same Old Man living at the mill. The mill turns around of its own free will. One hand in the hopper and the other in the sack. Ladies step forward and the gents fall back."

TShe tunes are similar but not identical.
