GUEST,Sandy Andina need looong mt. dulcimer case (6) need looong mt. dulcimer case 06 Oct 09

Recently purchased an hourglass-shaped Fred Martin hand-carved mountain dulcimer. This thing is longer than any of my other dulcimers (longer than my Larrivee Parlour guitar), and none of my soft or hardshell cases will fit it. I hesitate to have a Colorado case custom made, as it would cost nearly as much as the dulcimer itself (and a Calton would cost three times as much as the dulcimer)!   The standard long black cordura bags don't fit it (unless it stays open at one end, and neither does my padded golf-bag-sized double dulcimer bag. No luck yet logging into EverythingDulcimer.com. No vendor except Colorado or Calton even offer a custom case. Anyone know of those old-fashioned quilted drawstring bags that they used to sell in Tennessee back in the 1980s? (I had one for my first McSpadden, but my cat used it for, uh, projectile excretion target practice). Only thing I have is a Clam CaseXtreme I bought for a guitar (and am willing to sell), but the dulcimer would rattle around inside it, it won't fit in a car trunk or airplane overhead, and I am not confident of its water-resistance (there are gaps when it closes).
