I don't mean disingenuous by the detractors, I mean by the Democrats with Republican acquiesence, since neither of them will face down the lobbyists and tell the truth, even from the Presidential podium. I happen to agree with you that benefit reductions to Medicare will come under any of the three major proposals. (I just think that that's (a) a good thing, and (b) inevitable with or without these proposals.) (I also think they should have left Medicare out of it. If they wanted added complexity they should have addressed the reasons why employer provided insurance costs SO much more than privately purchased insurance, and how they are going to account for the enormous regional variability in premiums.)
