While our archives hold primarily Ozark related material, the music of Appalachia is closely related. The Folk Center is a part of the Arkansas State Park system and was developed to preserve important elements of the pioneer Ozark culture such as music, dance, narratives, and handcraft. The Archive houses rare recordings, books, photographs, etc.
