Elliott Old banjo and fiddle tunes (7) RE: Old banjo and fiddle tunes 06 May 98

In response to Doc K, he could contact Dr. Bill McNeil at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Bill is widely known and respected in the field of folklore and is in charge of the Folk Center archives. While our archives hold primarily Ozark related material, the music of Appalachia is closely related. Bill can be reached at the Ozark Folk Center, PO Box 500, Mountain View, AR 72560; phone 870-269-3280/870-269-3851 and fax 870-269-2909. The Folk Center is a part of the Arkansas State Park system and was developed to preserve important elements of the pioneer Ozark culture such as music, dance, narratives, and handcraft. Our craft village features about 20 exhibitors of pioneer handcraft, and we present close to 200 concerts each year of traditional Ozark Music. The Archive houses rare recordings, books, photographs, etc.
