Hi all, I was acquainted with "Alaska" Mike Burton more than twenty years ago when I lived in Los Angeles area, I spent several weekends jamming with him and "Ramblin" Jack Elliott in John Bellahs living room in Canoga Park. I heard on WHUS bulletin board about five years ago that he did a show on Long Island. Haven't heard of him in years, He did write some good music. In talking with him, I seem to remember that he flew in Viet Nam (Helicoptors?), and that he flew fixed wing aircraft in Alaska. As I also am a pilot he talked the talk, and I believe he was also an experienced pilot. Perhaps could do a search in FAA records for pilot licenses, likely he would have a rotorcraft and fixed wing commercial rating. I would like to make contact with him also. Robert J.
