If it's someone who is performing and wants to keep performing whether professionally or not they are going to have to learn to play on through the odd minor distraction eventually, but i spose I see how a nervous newbie kind of person ought to be cut some slack there. Didn't see the performer so I can't be sure where they were at experience wise but it does sound like they overeacted to me. And then an (aguably)condescending "it's a closed matter, let's not talk about it" reaction to an apology. I don't know them, but they sound like they might have a little bit of an ego to me.
