IMPORTANT NEWS â€" Due to the vagaries of the licensing system, we do not have a licence for Friday’s Ceilidh, so it will be a bring-your-own-beer night. Soft drinks will be available, as usual, from the Bar. We are sorry about this, and hope you will understand.

EVEN MORE IMPORTANT NEWS â€" Tickets will be on sale for THE BIG CEILIDH â€" our New Year’s Eve dance at Hitchin Town Hall with STÖMP and caller Liam Robinson.

Tickets are £25 per person (includes free entry for one child, extra children £10), with a superb buffet, Champagne raffle, and Whitethorn Morris

After nearly 30 years experience on the professional folk scene, The Cock & Bull Band are widely recognised as one of the top ceilidh and barn dance bands on the circuit, and their dances offer a treat, no matter how many times you have seen them. Always prepared to surprise and delight, the quality of the band's music guarantees an amazing time for their audience, be they beginners or the most expert dancers.

The Cock & Bull Band have now been performing as a ceilidh band for over twenty years, and they still give as much energy and life to their performances as when they had just begun. They well deserve the high reputation they have built up over the years for playing both brilliant, stomping dance music.

Caller for the evening will be PETE REES â€" a favourite caller at festivals and dances up and down the country, fast becoming something of a legend!

Our interval entertainment is Hertfordshire Holly, one of this area’s finest mixed clog morris display sides. They dance mainly in the traditional style of the North-West of England, using belled sticks, wavers or slings. www.hertfordshireholly.org.uk

Unicorn Ceilidhs take place on the last Friday of the month at Hitchin Town Hall, Brand Street, Hitchin, Herts SG5 1HX. Doors open at 7.30 for an 8.00 p.m. start, with an 11.30 p.m. finish â€" entry is only £8.00 for adults and £4 for children under 14. Students, Senior Citizens and Unwaged are £6, and a Family Ticket (2 Adults and up to 3 Children) is only £20. The first 6 Students (SU card holders) before 8.00pm get in free!
