Please note that although the Moira Folk Festival is on the Ashby Canal, you cannot get to it by boat unless you take it out of the water at Snarestone and put it back in again at Donisthorpe. The section at Moira has been restored and rewatered I am glad to say but the other abandoned stretch has yet to be done. Fingers crossed though!
