My band wants to distribute a cover recording of the bluegrass song, When You Go Walking After Midnight by Landon Messer and Lowell Varney. We need to find the name and contact information for the publisher so we can pay royalties. It was recorded by the Stanley Brothers in an album called 16 Years and also apparently called "Won't You be Mine;" re-released as "Can't You Hear the Mountains Calling." The information on this album says: 6. When You Go Walking After Midnight (Landon Messer and Lowell Varney/Jaymore Music, BMI) However BMI has no Landon Messer or Lowell Varney listed as a composer. (It has also been recorded more recently by Lonesome River Band and They Wayfaring Strangers.) Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy holidays, captainc.
