This thread put me in mind of an Irish tune called "Brendan's Fair Isle," which was about the voyage of St. Brendan the Navigator to America, and it features a sea serpent. Anyone have the words?

There's another Irish one called "Molly-O" about a sailor who runs into a talking sea monster.
