It was enjoyable. I must say I wondered a bit about the choice of obviously Irish music for the fight scene in the predominantly Brit-based show. In the fight scene, the faces of the many people talking and shouting seemed almost as if they were singing along.
It was an interesting amalgam, Conan Doyle meets Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd, Indiana Jones, Butch Cassidy...
It does make me want to go re-read the books. It also makes me want to watch an episonde of 'House' particularly after hearing an NPR interview with Richie.
I was very impressed with the ending credits, using photostills from the film and transforming them into sketches then fully-realized drawing.
