Like many, my income from PRS is part of the income I need to make a living. (95% of the PRS's income goes to 5% of its members, and I'm amongst the other 95%.) I don't live in a mansion, but my PRS and MCPS royalties help keep me off the dole. I've worked ****** hard to get to this stage and, whereas I'm usually up for doing a charity gig if it's something that I think merits my support, I expect anyone who uses my music to pay for it! If the PRS's tactics were a little heavy-handed in this case, that is regrettable, but if the dance school charges for its lessons, it is operating as a commercial concern and has to pay its expenses, like any other. Does it not have to pay for electricity, water, etc?
