It often seems that TV and feature films have run out of original plots, so they're doing remakes of things that were incredible the first time around. The worst feature so far was probably the remake of PSYCHO. I'm sorry, but no one can improve on Hitchcock...even if redone on a frame by frame basis. If Hollywood wants to remake a film that wasn't terrific in the first place, let'em give it a try...but leave the perfect specimins alone. When they remake ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, that will be the final straw.
HIGH NOON was an amazing film the first time...and now it should be obvious, even to Hollywood, that it can't be improved on or even come close to.
