I'm with Cats on this! : "I am thoroughly enjoying the series and it is just escapism. It may be inaccurate and bear little relationship to the original but the beeb, bless them, seem to have taken an incident in the book that lasts for an odd line or two, a paragraph or even a page or two and reworked it to a whole episode ...." I enjoyed the book many many years ago, and so I bought Series I & 2 on DVD for viewing down here in Oz and find it to be delightful, non-stressful entertainment. Try not to take so much stuff so seriously, People!! ..... sigh ...... Cheers, R-J :~)
