I've known Dave all my life and he brought me up into Irish music. My mum was going to marry him many years ago but didn't and I am very sad that he died of a heart attack in hospital.
I was at his funeral and the amount of people who turned up could barely fit through the doors of the church.
A great man and a huge loss to many who knew him through the lifeboats, motorbikes and music.
