I have lots of memories...like the others ...but my favourite is when that other "elder statesperson" Martin Carthy was a guest at The Station (now Witherspoons) Martin with his unique style of guitar playing was very prone to breaking them....this particular Friday he reached into his back pocket and pulled out replacement strings and dropped them on the stage floor !! Quick as a flash Bob joked about Martin dropping his "packet of three" and further add libbed about them being ribbed !!!! Best wishes Dave Robinson
