I sing both accompanied (by others)and a cappella. The a cappella singing tends to command more respect from the listeners. I'm not sure how long this respect could last though. Usually, at least in Houston, we hear one a cappella song among many with accomaniment. So I'm wondering if it is the contrast that makes a cappella singing special. Kind of like "if you want to get someone's attention, whisper." BigDaddy, I'd love to hear the results of your a cappella evening. Please keep the 'cat posted when you do this. emily b
