Mr Fox Lyr Req: England's Power and Glory (Robb Johnson) (4) RE: Lyr Req: England's Power and Glory - Robb Johnson 04 Mar 10

I can only remember bits and not in any order (except first and last verses) - sorry:

FirstIf you sail around Australia
There's a coast of barren stone
Where once the heathen Aboriginies
In ignorance did roam

We saw them naked, called them savages
Passing fire from hand to hand
Saw them fish, but we were farmers
Saw their fertile land

Sometimes a passing whaler put in
Took a black girl for some sport
With the settlers came the preachers
Soldiers to the fort

LastIf you sail around Australia
There's a coast of barren stone
Where once the [word forgotten] Aboriginies
In true innocence did roam

The chorus is for most verses:

England's power and glory
In our name was this done
In the name of the bible and the gun

And for the last verse:

England's power and glory
To our shame was this done
In the name of the bible and the gun

There's more, but memory fails.......
