But I damn well expect teachers, above all others, to ONLY show kindness, support, inspiration and guidance to children. THAT is their job, that is what they are therefore...and ANY teacher who feels it is their 'right' to belittle, humiliate, embarrass, denigrate, shout, scream or treat badly any child, should not be in the profession."

Absolutely right, Lizzie, and the vast majority of teachers would heartily agree! It's a pity that teachers do not seem to have the same rights as the children we teach.
