Not a song about Dogs (except, perhaps, in the sense "sons o' bitches"), but there's a verse from "The Battle of New Orleans" which always makes me laugh, which in Lonnie Donnegan's version goes, "They ran through the briars, And they ran through the brambles, And they ran through the bushes Where the rabbits couldn't go; They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch them-O, Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico."
