Just heard from Pete Grassby that Dr Dave collapsed and died at a Charity Gig last night at The Maudslay in Coventry. No further details yet, but he had played 20 minutes earlier accompanying Brenda as usual, apparently playing as brilliantly as ever. A stalwart of the Coventry folk scene for over 40 years, the old place will never be the same without him. Condolences and best wishes to Brenda and the family.
