GUEST,Russ BS: EPA water rule & mountaintop mining (25) RE: BS: EPA water rule & mountaintop mining 03 Apr 10

Too little too late.

The body is already cold.

Anyway, is the EPA actually going to enforce the "guidelines"?

Take a tour with me.

go to google maps
select "Satellite"
center the 1st map on WV and start zooming in
When Huntington appears, center on it and start zooming in
When Williamson (my home town) appears, center on it, zoom in, and start paying attention
The non-green areas are NOT trees, they are not bodies of water, and they are not "developed" areas
That part of WV is rather sparsely populated

Now pick one of the light areas and keep zooming

"Sad scenes of destruction on every hand"

Spaw I hear you.
I feel your pain. You feel mine.
Unfortunately, the US is stuck with coal for the rest of my life.
Just think of the cost of converting all coal fired power plants to something else.
