Was very sad to learn of Dave's passing but it was consolation to know he left us in style and doing what he loved and did best - playing superb music. I cherish happy memories of busking with Dave and Mick Cullen in Stratford-on-Avon back in the 70s. As for the great music sessions in Coventry hosted by Dave, these made a huge impact on the local music scene and the confidence and ability of the musicians who took part. I was out of the country when I heard the news and wasn't able to include a tribute in my regular newspaper column as these were written in advance. But I'm just one of many who will miss him greatly and treasure his influence on our lives. RIP Dave! Pete Willow
