Time is getting close, and Steve and I are raring to go! The weather here in New York is beautiful. Sunny warm, the blossoms are blooming. Hope it's the same in the UK when we arrive in May.

When we were in the UK in October 2008, the U.S. presidential election was near, and we saw someone dubbed "Joe the Plumber" on the TV in the hotel lobby, complaining about Obama's intention to raise taxes on people with incomes over $100,000 (which he didn't have. and he wasn't even really a plumber.) Now Obama is president, and there are gun-toting nuts out to get him. Well, at least there's no "President McCain."
