The major7 equals changing the bass C down one fret(3ird to 2nd) en route to the A minor. If it can't be done fluently better to leave it out and just use the C major to A minor. The organ would make these chords via bass changes, C note to B note to A note. It IS essentially one chord except the resolution last line via the dominant G through G7 to the Tonic C.
