Sausage gravy....brown PORK sausage meat (salt, cilantro, pepper, if you Brits want a real recipe I can provide one). Add white flour to coat sausage, add milk. Bring to a simmer til thick. Serve over American style biscuits (unsweetened scones....about an inch or so thick, and split). Serve with hash browns. (grated/shredded potatoes cooked in oil/fat til crunchy) If you make hash browns from raw potatoes, put the shreds in a colander and wash all the starch off, then dry well. Grits is good, but only when THICK like real porridge. This runny soupy grits thing is nasty. You should almost be able to cut grits with a butter knife...thick!
