I can tell you that there will (or should be) be an Open Mike session at the Boar's Head on Saturday afternoon, hosted as always by the Salt Town Poets.
I've suggested that this should be followed by a Saturday Night session, as is traditional, but nothing has been heard in reply.
The festival's website, the last time I looked, was still telling us that the fringe events would be announced 'soon'.
I do know that at least one pub has given up waiting to hear from the festival and is organising its own fringe events.
Frankly, who can blame them?
