I'm told that a quick (and not thick) pasting of benzyl benzoate over the affected area will deal with any of the types of mites known to affect people. You might have to wear it for a few hours; read the bottle. Make sure you hot launder all clothes and bed linen that mat harbour live ones. The itching could (probably) be best treated with an antihistamine; phenergan has, I believe, the fewest side effects. Cheers, Rowan
