The Folk Music Society of NY runs 3 sessions of informal participatory singing every month in New York City, an open sing, a chantey sing, and a sacred harp sing. We also have singing parties about once every month or two at people's homes. The next party will be in early August. See our web site at www.folkmusicny.org for dates and locations. We also have concerts, weekends, and an annual festival, Eisteddfod, November 5-7 this year. In addition, Ken Schatz is running a monthly singing session at Banjo Jims on one Sunday night a month. That may be the event cited above. (I did not renew my cookie before posting ...)
