David is the type of guy you say hello to and then sit back and let him talk! He shared some wonderful stories and his new songs are incredible! He is working on a new CD which will hopefully be out next spring. He has gone into his personal history to come up with some songs that are very moving and also finds a universal element that we can all relate to. He performs a couple of these songs on the show this Sunday. I predict that when this new CD comes out - David will become the most wanted performer at folk festivals around the nation. Of course when I saw him nearly 20 years ago at Speakeasy I thought that any moment he was going to become the next big media darling. Of course his songs have become part of the folk fabric of the last two decades, but he never really achieved the status that he deserved. He is a wonderful performer to watch!
Okay, enough of my soapbox! I think the guy is great! I hope some people will tune in this Sunday, or go to see him at the Hurdy-Gurdy Coffeehouse in Paramus on 9/16!
