Linton Kwesi Johnson was (is) a great one for me when it comes to political song. Even though his newer stuff is more personal, it's still excellent. As for Show Of Hands, they're far to emo-folk for me, if that's a genre. Good luck to them though. G'luck lads! Jim Moray is also too emo-folk for me btw. And June Tabor. It's a wide church with many celebrants. And Maddy Prior. Crikey, the whole damn folk scene. I'm off to a poetry forum to calm down.
