I spoke to Jim Mageean yesterday at the "Sing your Heart Out" event run by Angie & Ken Blaydon, concerning the omission of any mention of Stan Hugill. Jim informed me that Gareth had asked him in interview of his musical influences, and Jim had described all the work and contribution Stan had made in collecting shanties, etc. Unfortunately this ended up on the cutting room floor which explains the exclusion.....
