It would not hurt to try something quick, simple, and harmless first. double click on "my computer" icon on desktop right click on drive icon click on 'properties" click on "tools" tab click on "check now" button put check in "automatically fix file system errors" box click "start" Sometimes space gets marked as being in use even when it is not being used by any file(s). try again to copy the file.
