It depends what you are looking for. I've gone to NERFA every year for the past dozen years. The conference tends to be singer-songwriter heavy, due to the fact that fewer trad folks feel a need to participate. (Not meant as an editorial comment, just an observation) I feel that more trad folks should participate (Meant as an editorial comment). NERFA stands for North Eastern Regional Folk Alliance and it draws between 500 to 700 people.
