Martin Appleby of Malcolm's Interview works as a producer/engineer at the BBC and was involved with a prestigious project on Appalachian music a wee while back. He plays excellent bass and is much in demand for dances and producing duties outside his day/night job . He has recently taken up the 5-string banjo. A good egg. I asked him ages ago about the origin of the name Malcolm's Interview - he said it was taken from a TV commercial.
