I just ran across this while searching for the lyrics to Jacobs Ladder. I think its pretty awesome that its on here because I am from dickenson co. Va where Ralph Stanley is from and Enoch Rose is my ancestor. This song is very powerful and brings back great memories. My dad used to sing and play this song all the time. Larry Sparks does a wonderful job on this song in my opinion his is much better than all other versions.. if u haven't heard it check it out.
