Janie,

There is actually another economic engine in West Virginia. I hear that it is currently the second largest, but growing.

Tourism.

If the tourism industry could get its act together, it might be able to give the resource extraction industry a run for its money.

If you want to help WV, go there, spend your tourist dollars, and make sure that everybody know why you are there.

Forget Mingo County. It's too late.
