It was my first Sidmouth too, and I was stewarding so didn't really know what to expect. I had a great time. Stewarding the Bedford was good as I got to see lots of acts I might not have seen otherwise. Elsewhere I loved Bellowhead, Blowzabella, the Spiers and Boden ceilidh (my dancing shoes were a biohazard afterwards though), Fay Hield, Mawkin:Causley, Jim Moray (who was everywhere, and hats off to him for a hilarious quiz!), Remnant Kings, Kerfuffle, Mac and Saul etc, etc singing workshops, and even got to play my clarinet (that has never happened at a folk festival before)and I met lots of lovely people. I will be back next year!
