Mr. Boyd hired wasps to protect his raspberry canes, but I'd still go back and do it again. I think he resented our getting into his beans as much as his berries. A lot of the best fruit I have ever had has come off military ranges in the outer of a Helmet, Steel, Ground Troops, M1. Petawawa has wild strawberries Gagetown and Tracadie have excellent blueberries. There is an abandoned orchard on Headline Ridge in the Gagetown training area that has the best McIntosh apples in NATO--well, for the price, at least.
