I remember talking to Stefan Grossman after his performance at the Edinburgh Festival many years ago, and this rather pushy young American intruded into the conversation and asked him when he was going to come and do a concert in Kansas.

"Uh-uh, said SG, "I do East Coast, I do West Coast, I don't touch the badlands."

Reading this thread I am beginning to understand what he meant.

(Actually, I am just really jealous, I would love to attend Winfield some day, even though my youthful fantasies of entering the fingerpicking contest are receding rapidly ...)
