I was researching for another thread (Lyric Add: born about 10,000 years ago). Picked out my old copy of Blood, Booze, 'n Bones, Elektra 108, recorded by Ed Mc Curdy. He credits this tune to Child #274 stating it was originally a Scottish ballad. Roger in Baltimore
