Notice especially the second and third sentences of item #3. Regardless of the "general intelligence levels in them Appalachian hills", we do have enough intelligence to realize that, if one wishes to mark the occasion of a mass murder by wearing a special costume, it would be appropriate to do so in a way that expresses solidarity with the victims.
