Doesn't it say it should be handed back to the King on discharge, Bobert? When my dad died, I found his "driving licence" in his papers. A slip of paper that said basically that he'd managed to get the army lorry across the parade ground without hitting the Sar'nt major on the way so was fit to drive upon the Kings' Highways... the only ting resembling a driving test he ever took. Ebbie - it's a sad story and one repeated many many times across the world. People get a pet and then discover just how much keeping that pet healthy is going to cost, so ditch the animal. One of my cats, Max, was run over when he was a kitten, taken to the vets, who was told to 'dispose of him', when his owners were informed as to how much his hip operation would cost. Luckily the practice nurse took pity on him, got him sorted and he lived 11 years with her and another 4 or 5 with me when she emigrated. I am not a fan of genetically altered animals, the Chinese Crested and your Mexican 'airless being two of my least favourites, but I hate to see any animal suffer... I hope they find a sympathetic home soon. LTS
