Folk legend – and we don't bandy that word around lightly – Beverley Martyn returns to London to perform songs from her forthcoming album, including those written with the late Nick Drake, and the classic album "Stormbringer!" and "Road to Ruin" that she recorded with late husband John. She is joined on the bill by another Acoustic hero; maestro finger-style guitarist Duck Baker performing material from his latest album "The Roots and Branches of American Music"

Also appearing are Ex-Oasis and singer/songwriter Matt Deighton.

Beverley Martyn was the first solo artist signed to Deram and has worked with Jimmy Page, Paul Simon, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny and many others including late John Martyn, her husband at the time, with whom she recorded the brilliant 1969 album Stormbringer! and others. Beverley is currently working on songs for her new album with some great musicians. Her autobiography is due out later this year.

Martyn will be performing the song she wrote with Nick Drake called "Reckless Jane" for the first time

Duck Baker is regarded as one of the finest fingerpicking guitarists in the world today. His guitar repertoire spans a wide panorama of musical styles -- blues, jazz, country, ragtime and Celtic melodies. He has recorded numerous solo albums as well as performing and recording with Leo Kottke, John Renbourn, Stefan Grossman and Davey Graham. Duck tours worldwide in addition to teaching and giving seminars. He is the consummate musician, forever exploring and expanding the horizons of fingerstyle guitar.

"I am overwhelmed by the talent Baker displays . . . he is, in a word, unbelievable, in another, astonishing."
San Francisco Examiner

Matt Deighton is the former vocalist and guitarist with Mother Earth and recently known for his place in Paul Weller's band and deputising for Noel Gallagher in Oasis when he left their european tour in a hail of publicity. Debut solo album "The Villager" was very well received and described by The Guardian as "a superlative album of tender, touching beauty. English folk with a westcoast sensibility akin to Richard Thompson". He now has a new album out called "You Are The Healer" which The Guardian has again called "wonderful".
