Yes an extremely good turn-out (250+ imo) for one of most impressive and assured acts in the Uk at the moment. The new album is as good as you'd expect, and the songs come over even better than they did last night, specially California, which will be a contender for the MH and Whispering Bob shows (a very smart move to put one toe over longitude 45). We were held up, so missed much of Sarah and James, but any guitarist who also plays drums with his feet is a star in my book. Two strongly emerging talents. Niamh just goes from strength to strength. She's now an assured performer displaying both depth in the tradition and real invention. And she sings like and angel with exquisite timing. It was one of those nights you'll be glad to be able to say you were there. 10 out of 10 all round (specially Chris on the desk, who's now a top engineer - really crisp bodrhan and double bass without masking Jamie's slaps takes some doing).
